Owner/operator Cindy Diebold Bardon has always been someone who loves to go “junkin” to find a new purpose for an old, worn-out item, and paint it to perfection. While, in St. Louis, she and her best friend owned a shop, Maurita’s Attic, a repurposed furniture store. They soon found that people often wanted them to share their ideas, so they began providing classes. The best part was seeing the pride on the faces of those that said, “I do not have a creative bone in my body”.
3 years ago, Cindy left St. Louis and moved to Kansas City, and, missing that part of her life, she joined the team down at Good JuJu in the West Bottoms under the name “The Painted Brush”.
Today, Cindy admits to missing her St. Louis home. And, wanting to plant her roots in Kansas City — she opened up this small shop just off of the corner of Armour & Fayette in NKC’s downtown. With the support of her husband Lance and son Evan, the family is making this dream a reality.
Grab your friends and “sign” up for a class at Sip and Salvage. The shop currently offers personalized sign classes, which are 3 hours in length. It is also BYOB and snacks are allowed, to add to the fun. Each workshop can accommodate up to 36 people.
