On September 27th, 2013, we opened our doors in North Kansas City. Over the past 10 years we have expanded our taproom, added an event space and killer patio, grew into distribution in KS and MO, increased our barrel program and cider production, and met so many amazing folks along the way.

To kick off our 10-year anniversary celebrations, we will be releasing “Sojourn Cider” – our Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Cider. This cider has had a long journey as we have barrel-aged it across three different barrels over two years. Each sojourn allowed the cider to encompass notes of toasty caramel, white oak, and rich molasses. It has surprising drinkability given its complexity. We will have very limited availability of this unique cider, in-house only.

Join us as we celebrate 10 years of Ciders & Beers! We’ll have giveaways, raffles, yard games, Blocktails, a s’more station, and Taco-ish slinging delicious Mexican food on the patio from 4-9pm.

For day 2 of our 10-year anniversary shenanigans, we decided to roll out a triple dry-hopped version of the IPA we all know and love, BLOCK!

ALSO, Thursdays are vinyl night! B.Y.O.V. – This one will be extra special as we’ll have our neighbors from FM Vintage Music in-house selling and trading records.

Come hungry, Taco-ish food truck will be on the patio from 4-9pm whipping up their delicious authentic Mexican food!

Day 3 of our decennial anniversary celebrations will be one for the books!

Bottle & Draft Release | Food | Live Music | Comedy Show

Join us on Friday, September 29th, for the release of DoppleBlock – a full-bodied, malty German lager with flavors of caramel and dart fruit, with subtle notes of vanilla, oak, and whiskey. This brew has been resting in Missouri Bourbon barrels for over 12 months, and will be freshly bottled for its release to celebrate our 10 years in KCMO. Available on tap and in bottles in-house only!

We’ll have Ragusa’s food truck on the patio from 5-8, and tunes by local favorite, Kirstie Lynn, starting at 7pm!

2 Petty: The Anniversary Show – A comedy show celebrating 10 years of Cinderblock and 2 years of J Petty in KC! Headliner J Petty & friends are taking over the patio at 9pm, come laugh and celebrate with this hilarious crew! Featuring comedian HBfromKC & hosted by Frankie Miracle!

Also… If you’ve been tuning in to our homebrew scale-up competition, we’ll be announcing the winner that evening!

HOP MAVEN RETURNS!!!

The ceremonious return of our beloved IPA series, this Triple Hazy IPA has a smooth, fluffy mouthfeel thanks to overly generous amounts of pilsner, wheat, and oats. With a slight residual sweetness, the hops are able to stand out beyond standard comprehension! An absolute blockbuster of El Dorado, Idaho 7, and HBC 638; expect aromas of candied papaya, pineapple, and tropical citrus. One drink, and you’ll know… HOP MAVEN HAS RETURNED!!

Hop Maven will be available on draft and in 6-packs in the taproom only. Join us on day 4 of our 10-year anniversary celebrations, we’ll have live music by AJ Gaither from 6-9pm, and Tiki Taco on the patio from 5-9pm!
