D&D Westmarch: Skall'asgael Sagas, Season 4 - The Gates of the Wild

In the scattered archipelago of Skall’asgael, a mysterious phenomenon has begun to unfold. For the first time in several millenia, Fairy gates, long thought to be mere legend, have started to appear across the islands. These gates take various forms: circles of mushrooms and toadstools, ancient stone circles and monoliths, and even enchanted forests that reveal their secrets only at twilight. These portals, shimmering with fey energy, have opened a path to the mystical realm of Sithchailleach, a place of wonder and danger, where the laws of nature and magic intertwine in unpredictable ways.

As these gates open, strange and wondrous creatures have begun to pass through, some benign and others malevolent. The islands of Skall’asgael now find themselves exposed to the whims and caprices of Sithchailleach itself. The very fabric of reality seems to warp and twist, as the mutations of Chaos and the wilds of Sithchailleach bleed into each other, creating a landscape where the impossible becomes possible.

Adventurers who dare to explore these islands will find themselves facing new challenges and encountering creatures of legend. They may even be drawn directly into the court of the fairies, where politics are as sharp as thorns, and every favor comes with a price. The fey are not known for their kindness to mortals, and old grudges run deep. The Archfey, Fairfolk, and Sidhe, rulers of Sithchailleach, have not forgotten their ancient battles with the mortals of the earthly realm of Earlindor. As the barriers between worlds grow thinner, these old hatreds may resurface, bringing with them a storm of fey retribution.
