Matthew Shoaf ~ Live Music at Sail Away Wine

Matthew Shoaf has been a professional musician for 20 years playing in numerous projects, ensembles, and bands of all styles of music in Kansas City and around the country. A graduate of The Conservatory of Music at UMKC, he currently has several regular gigs around the metro playing anywhere from 4-7 nights a week in a variety of venues and with some of KC’s best musicians. His band that he fronted on lead guitar and vocals, Gov’t Cheez, held a weekly residence on the Country Club Plaza for over fourteen years. Matthew also plays bass for the semi-local Irish band, Flannigan’s Right Hook and was recently featured in Quixotic Fusion’s new spring 2023 show, Whiskey Dynamite. He takes requests from a long list of songs. Whatever your preference or mood, he has a song that will speak to you.
