Procrastinator’s Christmas Market at Colony/RINO

Published by Pete Dulin on

This year marks the Third Annual Procrastinator’s Christmas Market Pop-up on 2nd Saturday, December 14, 10 AM to 4 PM, at RINO and Colony. The event showcases cool art, gifts, and goods from local makers.

“We feature a dozen or so different KC makers,” says Zach Henderson, co-owner of RINO and Colony. “From apparel to potters as well as candle makers, jewelry makers, vinyl collectors. and wood makers. We hand pick all the vendors to make sure we have a good list of different people to shop from with good quality products.”

On Sale This Saturday ? (12/14):

LaCour Design Co.

The vendor list includes Bienaime Beaute, FM Music Vintage Sounds, work from Hallmark Card designer Allyson Lassiter, and LaCour Design Co.’s home decor handmade from reclaimed and recycled wood. Founder and designer Loni LaCour’s designs blend her love of the modern farmhouse style, pop culture, and on point trends. After LaCour’s father David LaCour, a carpenter and woodworker, passed, she put the tools in her late father’s toolbox to work. LaCour hand-cuts, sands, treats, stains, paints, and constructs the pieces in her collection.

Other vendors at the event run the gamut, such as Edison Amps, Bicycle Bell Books, Decoylab Shop, handcrafted and eco-friendly bath and body products from Gentle Lillies, and Lola and Finn Paperie which specializes in quirky greeting cards and wedding stationery.

The roster also includes KC sports-centric Northtown Design Co., Press Monkey Studio’s t-shirts and coasters, wall prints by Conaghan Creative, rustic signs from Say It On Wood, Shea Made’s cute contemporary earrings made of polymer clay, and Scout City’s tees designed by KC artist Robert Hoops that celebrate Kansas City and pop culture.
